Bruno Mougin

Bruno Mougin is a Hydrogeologist engineer and project manager in BRGM, the French Geological Survey. In 1998, he received M.Sc degree (National Engineer in Geological Sciences) from the National Engineering School of Nancy (France). He joined BRGM French Guiana (South America) in 1998 where he was responsible for developing various projects and expertise on the groundwater sector. Joining BRGM Brittany (France) in 2000, he has since focused on groundwater resources management, as junior then senior hydrogeologist, in this region and in various countries (England, Ireland, Caribbean Islands, Comoros Islands). He has an in-depth experience of the design, installation, operation, evaluation and reporting of groundwater monitoring networks, especially in hard rocks formations and coastal aquifers. In addition, he has a long and practical experience in database/GIS development and management as well as in groundwater flow and quality modelling. His research outcomes on groundwater monitoring techniques linked to the use lumped hydrogeological modelling for short term / mid-term forecast in near real time were integrated with a web tool for groundwater level forecasting called “MétéEAU Nappes”.
