Alexis Gutierrez

Alexis Gutierrez has 35 years of experience as hydrogeologist with the French Geological Survey. He has started his international career in Malta and then worked in groundwater and transport modelling of nuclear waste disposal in France. He has worked in Middle East on transboundary issues, in India and Bengladesh for water resources enhancement, drillings in south-America and west-Africa. He has conducted several research projects on diffuse contamination of aquifers, groundwater tools, aquifer protection. Since 2015 he’s in charge of BRGM international projects on groundwater and presently leading some of them in Southern Africa.
